Project Engineer

We have a current opportunity for a Project Engineer on a contract basis. The position will be based in Dubai with an Oil Major.

Project     New Build Gas Processing Facility (GPP) - Facility is based in Iraq, this role will support from the client office in Dubai.

During the Detailed Engineering phase, the job holder is responsible, within the team located in the engineering offices and under the Package Manager, for overseeing and advising the engineering team with regards to engineering activities related to construction and procurement. The job holder is also in charge of the preparation of the overall construction activities to be carried out by the EPC Contractor on SITE in IRAQ (and Subcontractors).

The job holder is responsible to:
 oversee all engineering activities related to procurement and construction during Detailed Engineering phase,and close follow up for both area OSA/Utilities & Process
 prepare the onshore campaign
 ensure close out

Project Execution
 Follow up of HAZID / HAZOP meetings and ensure HSE requirements and rules are implemented all along the project
 Provide technical support to the engineering team for onshore campaign
 Ensure Risk Register is feed and closely follow up / to update regularly the risk register of the package and implement the corresponding mitigation actions
 Lead in transverse with other services , engineering, procurement, construction and start up like Risk Register, during Detailed Engineering and onshore campaign preparation
 Participate to all Construction meetings with EPC Contractor
 Ensure all construction documents (job card, JRA, HIRA, lifting plans etc…….) are verified and compliant to technical requirements
 Ensure the mobilisation of the Company supervision Team in Iraq
 Ensure safe load-out activities of Modules to be shipped to Iraq.
 Ensure smooth and timely demobilization of the supervision team.
 Ensure that the close out report is prepared on a regular basis to be in position to issue it not later than one month after the handover to FO

Criteria
 Mandatory experience in a similar position: 10 Years
 Degree: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
 Professional experience: 15 years minimum.
 Excellent knowledge in civil works & earthworks, infrastructures, engineering, construction, installation, commissioning
 Knowledge and understanding of contract management
 Project management skills (Budget/Cost/Schedule)
