We are looking for a project delivery consultant to work in London on a contract basis.


The purpose of this role is to:
* Manage and co-ordinate all day-to-day activities between Service Integrator
* Provide governance and quality assurance for projects to be delivered.
* Manage project delivery to stay within the boundaries established by the Project Delivery Lead.
* Work to remove project obstacles and barriers, mitigate risks.
* Manage teams / resources to deliver required projects within budget, to planned timelines and to agreed requirements.
* Work with stakeholders to build business cases and requirements that are well documented and understood
* Ensure that the end product meets the customer's expectations.

Specifically, in support of delivery of Projects:
* Responsibility for gathering, documenting and validating business requirements.
Responsible for ensuring appropriate translation of business requirements into technical and then Project requirements.
* Responsible for the successful delivery of Projects in line with customer expectations.
* Responsible for detailed planning for specific Projects - determine the project approach, staffing, responsibilities, and schedule, in conjunction with the Business Applications Manager.
* Develop and/or review estimates and estimating assumptions for the Project's schedule, effort, and cost using established estimating models, best practices, and past experience.
* Define team member roles and expectations, and ensure timely feedback on their performance.
* Track and manage overall Project development including design and testing phases.
* Work with the Solution Architects to sign-off solution design items.
* Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations. Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks. Discuss adjustments as necessary with the Business Applications Manager.
* Ensure that all requirements, project plans, and changes to commitment are communicated to all affected team members.
* Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations.
* Manage relationships with all suppliers and subcontractors. Monitor their progress and adherence to the contract. Update the Business Applications Manager if any changes are likely to affect the supplier or subcontractor delivery.
* Manage all testing phases, to ensure that the solution meets the required criteria. Seek buy in from end users for user acceptance testing, and manage execution of this activity, including business sign-off for successful UAT.
* Ensure that the project team follows all quality assurance processes, including periodic reviews and transitions. Participate in quality reviews.
* Review and manage all changes to the requirements through the defined scope change process.
* Support the Project Delivery Lead to obtain buy-in from stakeholders for key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, budget, schedule, and scope changes.
* Regularly consult with the customers, especially the Process Experts within Finance and Supply Chain.
* Support the Business Applications Manager Maintain with any regular touch points with BU Finance Managers and Supply Chain Managers, in order to understand key priorities, and whether customer demand is being fulfilled.
* Attend any required Steering Committee meetings, with appropriate contribution to materials.

Person Specification
Experience working with SAP environment is essential, alongside other connected business applications.
* Experience of MS SharePoint, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Document management principles, and other business applications desirable
* Consulting experience preferred.
* Strong analytical skills to evaluate business needs and requirements and prepare clear, concise and unambiguous documentation for complex problem and/or solution sets.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, including senior executives.
* Ability to handle a number of tasks / projects simultaneously.
* Ability to resolve issues and problems across an integrated business process.
* Ability to compel teams and vendors to high performance standards.
* Ability to provide clear and concise leadership and communications with individuals and groups at all levels.
