Orion Group is hiring a Project Coordinator I to support a Legal Project Manager and the broader legal team for our pharmaceutical client in North Chicago.
This role performs project tracking, documentation support, scheduling, meeting coordination, and general administrative and operational support.
The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in a coordinator or assistant role, is highly organized, and can communicate clearly across teams.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, tracking deliverables, and monitoring progress
    • Maintain and organize legal documents, project files, and department records
    • Prepare meeting materials such as agendas, notes, summaries, and status reports
    • Coordinate meetings, logistics, communications, and follow-up tasks
    • Track milestones, deadlines, and schedules to ensure timely completion
    • Identify potential issues or risks and escalate appropriately
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives within legal operations
    • Provide general administrative support to legal and project teams
Required Skills & Experience
  • 1–3 years of coordinator or administrative assistant experience
    • Experience in a legal, professional services, healthcare, or pharmaceutical environment preferred
    • Prior experience using Generative AI tools
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
    • Comfortable working independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams
    • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
    • Proficiency with:

  • MS Word
  • MS Excel
  • MS Teams
  • SharePoint
  • Basic project-management tools and methods (plans, schedules, presentations)
    • Strong problem-solving and issue-identification skills
