Orion Group is seeking a Project Assistant to assist with conducting supplier evaluations for Suppliers supporting US and International Market Research, in conjunction with the US MABI team for our Pharmaceutical Client in Mettawa, IL.
Essentially, ensuring that all market research suppliers meet compliance standards, are properly onboarded, and are tracked in the systems.

Orion Group is seeking a Project Assistant to assist with conducting supplier evaluations for Suppliers supporting US and International Market Research, in conjunction with the US MABI team for our Pharmaceutical Client in Mettawa, IL.
Essentially, ensuring that all market research suppliers meet compliance standards, are properly onboarded, and are tracked in the systems.
Project Assistant Responsibilities:
Report Running:
- Run a monthly report to identify projects that were completed during the previous month
- Run Purchase Order/Purchase Order Change Notice tracker report 3 times a week (M/W/F) and put in Teams for other folks if needed.
Assist with Conducting and Maintaining Supplier Compliance:
- Conduct supplier evaluations for Suppliers supporting US and International Market Research, in conjunction with the US MABI team
- Conduct supplier evaluation renewals as required
- Record supplier evaluation details in Insight Farm, our Market Research Project Management and Compliance system, and document repository
- Send PV Vendor Qualification Assessment request to PV for newly onboarded suppliers
- Ensure VQA (vendor qualification assessments) is completed and recorded in Insight Farm
- Maintain supplier evaluation tracker
- Receive new supplier requests
- Request approval from Procurement to add a supplier, with the Manager’s assistance
- Coordinate the supplier to fill out and return all required documents
- Submit request via Ariba or DSP
- Watch requests, respond to questions, provide additional details as needed
- Submit ad hoc DSP requests as necessary (e.g., when suppliers change names/are purchased, suppliers change address or banking information, extend business groups, etc.)
- Enter Supplier and Supplier Contacts into Insight Farm once supplier evaluation and DSP (if needed) are complete
Project Assistant Qualifications:
- HS Diploma
- Project Management experience
- Problem-solving and investigatory skills
- Ability to learn compliance systems, requirements, procedures quickly
- Excellent, thorough, and concise communication skills
- 1-2 years of administrative assistant/project coordination experience in a pharmaceutical or market research industry.
- SAP knowledge and experience are strongly desired
- SNAPP (Supplier Network and Performance Portal) knowledge and experience are desired
