Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Production Technologist – Petroleum Engineer based in Aberdeen
 
 
Purpose:
Production Technologist/Petroleum Engineer to support the safe and compliant operation of wells across the Southern North Sea (SNS) asset.
This role sits within the Wells and Subsurface team and plays a key part in supporting asset performance, well integrity and intervention delivery. Focus on diagnosing issues, optimising production and delivering practical, value-driven solutions in an operational environment. You will work closely with an integrated team across subsurface disciplines, the producing asset and the wells team.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose well and production system issues and deliver practical optimisation and intervention plans
Manage and oversee Well integrity reviews, assessments and recommendations
Use tools such as PROSPER and IPSM (integrated system modelling) to analyse and optimise performance
Manage multiple well interventions from identification through execution and review
Support well reviews, GWAP (gas well deliquification analysis) and production system modelling Expertise in sand management (clampon) and metering
Act as asset or platform focal point for interventions
Integrate closely with Operations, Wells and Subsurface teams to maximise production for late life gas fields Support operational offshore activities including walk-to-work and barge intervention campaigns (as required) Prioritise effectively to avoid production deferment
Share lessons learned and drive continuous improvement
 
Essential Skills & Experience:
Strong Production Technology / Production Engineering background in operating assets Strong Well Integrity Management background in operating assets
Experience with PROSPER and IPSM modelling
Knowledge of sand management, metering and late-life asset challenges Experience in mature gas assets
Proven capability in well diagnostics, interventions and production optimisation Strong stakeholder engagement and teamwork
Self-starter with ability to manage competing priorities
