Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Production Operator for our Multinational Pharmaceutical client based in Boxmeer. Initial 12-month contract, with possibility of extension. This is a fully onsite position.
The team
Their Animal Health site in Boxmeer is the largest Animal Health facility in the world for the production and packaging of veterinary medicines in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and GDP (Good Documentation Practice) guidelines. Operations are carried out within various IPTs (Integrated Process Teams) and Centers of Excellence (CoEs). The IVP (Inactivated Vaccines and Pharmaceuticals) IPT focuses on the formulation and sterile filling of vaccines and pharmaceuticals.
What will you do
As a Filling Operator, you will work in our filling department. You will oversee the process of visually inspecting vaccines—for instance, for dogs, cattle, or pigs. This role carries significant responsibility, as their goal is to provide the best possible care for animals.
You will join a team of approximately 100 colleagues in total. You will also collaborate with other teams within the department, such as the formulation team responsible for producing the vaccines. You will be supported by Senior Operators, Improvement Officers, and Operational Coaches. As a Filling Operator (Visual Inspection), you will work a two-shift schedule (Monday through Friday). The department operates a total of seven filling lines.

Main Responsibilities of the role
- Visually inspecting vaccines.
- Assisting colleagues or teams when necessary.
- Working according to filling instructions and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
- Prioritizing safety and actively contributing to a safe working environment.
- Participating in improvement projects and activities, both independently and as part of a team.
- The duties described constitute the core responsibilities and will be performed independently following a successful onboarding and training period. These may be supplemented—either on your own initiative or at the organization's request—with other projects and/or tasks you are able to take on.
- You will also receive excellent guidance from an Operational Coach and benefit from a challenging, dynamic learning environment with ample opportunity for personal development.
- Completed vocational training at a minimum MBO level 2.
- Technical knowledge and/or an interest in technical work.
- Availability five days a week (Mon–Fri) for shift work (05:45–14:15 / 13:45–22:15).
- Experience with and knowledge of GMP and GDP.
- A professional attitude, combined with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Someone eager and motivated to help improve our department.
