ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Production Chemistry Engineer to provide technical support to the Field Operations Department. The role will provide Tier 1 / Tier 2 production chemistry assistance to the Smart Room and site, supporting flow assurance, production, integrity, environmental compliance and chemical treatment optimisation.
The successful candidate will work closely across Process, Flow Assurance, HSE, Inspection, Laboratory and Site teams, with a strong focus on safe and efficient chemical management and continuous improvement.

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Production Chemistry Engineer to provide technical support to the Field Operations Department. The role will provide Tier 1 / Tier 2 production chemistry assistance to the Smart Room and site, supporting flow assurance, production, integrity, environmental compliance and chemical treatment optimisation.
The successful candidate will work closely across Process, Flow Assurance, HSE, Inspection, Laboratory and Site teams, with a strong focus on safe and efficient chemical management and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Tier 1 / Tier 2 technical support relating to production chemistry, flow assurance, integrity, production and environmental requirements.
- Monitor daily production chemical consumption and performance and recommend adjustments where required.
- Monitor laboratory analysis results and provide recommendations on chemical treatment and analytical methods.
- Monitor offshore chemical stocks and coordinate timely delivery of production chemicals to site.
- Plan and organise chemical cleaning operations.
- Support certification and servicing of laboratory equipment.
- Manage material number requests for production chemicals.
- Prepare and maintain environmental permit requests and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Continuously optimise chemical treatment with consideration for cost, efficiency and environmental impact.
- Assess chemical treatment performance and coordinate chemical trials with vendors and OneTech.
- Define requirements for temporary chemical injection equipment.
- Produce monthly reports and KPIs.
- Support the Production Support budget relating to chemicals.
- Ensure effective communication between Process, Flow Assurance, HSE, Inspection, Laboratory and Site functions.
- Support improvements to operational safety.
- Ensure oil, gas and water specifications are maintained across the relevant assets.
- Optimise chemical OPEX per produced barrel.
- Support initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of production operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry Engineering.
- 3–5 years' Oil & Gas industry experience.
- Previous experience in production chemistry and chemical injection is preferred.
- Experience supporting or executing chemical trials.
- Good understanding of Oil & Gas processing operations.
