THE OPPORTUNITY – PRODUCTION AND SUBSURFACE LEAD
 
The Production and Subsurface Lead is accountable for generating production forecasts and monitoring performance to ensure we maximise economic hydrocarbon production from the Morecambe asset to the end of field life.
 
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Duration: 2-year contract
Contract Type: PAYE
Day Rate: TBC - For your application to be progressed, please ensure you provide a PAYE day rate banding expectation.  Please note that there is no travel and accommodation allowance provided.

Spirit Energy currently have a non-contractual hybrid working arrangement for all office-based workers. 4 days must be worked in the office with compulsory days being Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The fourth day worked in-office (either Monday or Friday) is of the worker’s choosing but should be in keeping with what is most efficient and effective for their team. The office is open 5 days a week for full time, in-office working if this is the contractor’s preference.  
 
 
AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT…
In role, you will be required to:
 
Production Management
  • Own and update the production management standard for Spirit Energy.
  • Generate and update life of field production forecasts for Morecambe.
  • Monitor production performance against forecasts providing the asset leadership team with clear information and recommendations to allow informed decisions to be taken to maximise production.
  • Coordinate daily, weekly and monthly production reviews to ensure all wells and facilities are optimised to maximise production.
  • Analyse production loss events and ensure root cause analysis is completed to a standard that learnings can be made from them.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify production bottlenecks and production performance improvement opportunities.
  • Identify production threats and ensure they are sufficiently mitigated.
  • Ensure all production regulatory consents are in place and if required manage the relationship with the regulator to ensure Spirit remains in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
 
Hydrocarbon Accounting
Manage the hydrocarbon value chain by ensuring the accurate allocation of production and emissions.
 
Subsurface Management
  • Manage the reserves and resources reporting process
  • Provide subsurface support to the decommissioning team to ensure all subsurface data is available to support safe well P&A design preparations
 
Business Support
Act as a Lead investigator using Kelvin TopSet investigation techniques to support business requirements.
 
 
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
 
  • Educated to degree level, ideally this would be in subsurface or production field.
  • Production Engineer/Petroleum Engineering Skillset who is able to critically review the validity of production forecasts
