Role: Procurement Specialist
Location: Doha, Qatar
Role: Contract 36 months

Job Responsibility
  • Contribute to maintaining alignment within the Project Management Team (PMT) by ensuring compliance with project procurement processes, objectives, and requirements.
  • Support the Procurement Lead in developing and refining project coordination procedures by reviewing and approving procurement-related tools and templates, including PSE, MSR, SSR, and other project-specific documents.
  • Oversee the contractor’s development and implementation of overall and package-level purchasing plans, coordinating with Project Sourcing Specialists where needed.
  • Facilitate approvals for deviations from procurement plans, policies, and procedures by coordinating with technical, planning, operations, and supply chain teams, covering matters such as cost adjustments, change orders, and claims.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement progress, highlighting issues, risks, and mitigation measures to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Support the implementation of robust expediting mechanisms to secure on-time delivery of materials, equipment, and packages, including coordinating logistics to meet project schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Spare Parts Coordinator to align planning and procurement of project spares, ensuring timely delivery in line with RSPL objectives.
  • Assist quality teams and contractors in evaluating vendors and reviewing critical vendor documentation, expediting advanced reviews where necessary to avoid delays.
  • Undertake additional procurement-related responsibilities or tasks as delegated by the Procurement Lead.
  • Manage interfaces and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, including planning, cost control, contracts, and business management teams.

Qualifications
  • Honors Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Law, Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration, Commercial disciplines, or other relevant field.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Minimum 8 years’ diversified experience in oil and gas operations.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Procurement Specialist on major projects.
Technical and Business Skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to oversee EPC Contractor purchasing activities, including tracking and monitoring of key equipment and material procurement.
  • A self-starter with the ability to operate effectively in a lean organization.
  • High level of computer literacy, including MS Office, business software programs, networking, and SAP.
