Procurement Specialist – Business Support & HSSE Category (Iraq Project) Location: Sunbury, UK (Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote)

About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join the team supporting major oil and gas operations in Iraq. This role focuses on delivering procurement excellence across the Business Support and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) categories, managing contracts and supplier relationships in areas such as security, logistics, IT, contingent labour, and facilities.
You’ll act as a key procurement business partner, working closely with internal functions and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, value delivery, and alignment with project and regulatory requirements. The role reports to the Business Support & HSSE Category Delivery Manager and requires occasional travel to Iraq.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sourcing, contracting, and supplier management for Business Support & HSSE categories.
- Ensure procurement activities align with project priorities, governance frameworks, and local laws.
- Support contract strategy development, negotiation, execution, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure safe and compliant delivery.
- Drive supplier performance, local content objectives, and risk management initiatives.
- A degree in Procurement, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (CIPS or equivalent preferred).
- Experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain.
- Proven ability to manage complex contracts and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Experience working in or supporting Iraq-based operations (advantageous).
