Role Overview

Procurement Lead oversees and expedites all procurement activities for major projects, ensuring a cost-effective, compliant, and efficient procurement and materials program. This role plays a key part in coordinating with EPC contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of critical equipment and materials in support of project schedules.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Law, Engineering, Accounting, Business Management, or related commercial discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years’ diversified Oil & Gas experience, with at least 5 years in procurement leadership roles for major projects.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, materials management, and EPC contract administration.
  • Experience handling reimbursable procurement for major EPC contracts is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and procurement tracking systems.
  • Self-starter capable of leading procurement functions independently within a virtual or project-based organization.
Responsibilities
  1. Align with Project Management Teams on project procurement needs, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  2. Establish and implement project procurement coordination procedures, tools, and templates.
  3. Manage and monitor all contractor procurement activities and vendor deliverables.
  4. Oversee development and execution of purchasing plans to ensure timely material delivery.
  5. Prepare and obtain approvals for procurement plan deviations, cost adjustments, and change orders.
  6. Expedite procurement and logistics activities to meet project milestones.
  7. Coordinate materials management to prevent traceability and availability issues.
  8. Collaborate with the Spare Parts Coordinator for planning, alignment, and timely procurement of project spares.
  9. Support vendor evaluation, documentation review, and approval of critical vendor documents.
  10. Provide procurement progress reports, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
