Are you a procurement systems expert with a background in the Oil & Gas industry?
We are looking for a Procurement Discipline Advisor to join our Contracting and Commercial Team on a major new upstream development in the Middle East.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for building the foundation of our procurement operations. You will ensure that all activities comply with the company by developing robust procedures, implementing advanced IT systems, and establishing high-standard governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Leadership: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for procurement IT systems; lead the identification, implementation, and optimization of tools that support contract governance and partner approvals.
Process Engineering: Design and deploy comprehensive procurement processes and procedures, with a sharp focus on control points, compliance monitoring, and operational efficiency.
Training & Implementation: Develop high-quality training materials and lead sessions to ensure the successful adoption of new systems and processes across the team.
Data & Analytics: Perform deep-dive data analysis and develop Power BI reporting/management information (MI) to track procurement performance and compliance.
Strategic Support: Assist the C&C Manager with special projects and ad-hoc tasks to strengthen the wider Kirkuk compliance framework.
What You Bring
Education:
A University Degree (preferably in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field) or equivalent professional experience.
System Proficiency:
Proven experience implementing and using major P2P systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Oracle, or Dynamics) and e-sourcing tools (e.g., Ariba, OneSource, or Avetta).
Industry Expertise:
Strong background in Oil & Gas procurement, specifically working within the governance structures of PSAs, TSCs, or Concessionaire Contracts.
Analytical Rigor:
Proficiency in Microsoft O365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a track record of building Power BI dashboards to drive decision-making.
Soft Skills:
A proactive, self-starting attitude with the interpersonal skills needed to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and work under minimal supervision.
