We currently have an opportunity for a Process/Piping Lead role. This position is based in Qatar onshore/offshore/China.
 
Position Title: Process/Piping Lead
Location: Doha Onshore/Doha Offshore/China
Contract duration: 18 Months
 
Activities
Ensure proper implementation of all pre-commissioning / commissioning disciplines requirement according to the CONTRACT.
Review the preparation of pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures (write the procedure, if necessary, in order to respect the planning and achieve the milestones in due time) and reporting tools prepared by contractors (such as but not limited to: including technical database, planning, punch lists control and follow-up of the disciplines concerned)
Promote safety within the commissioning activities and verify that safety procedures are implemented and follow by CONTRACTOR and COMPANY.
Review N2/He Leak Test Pack
Maximize onshore commissioning and minimize lost time due to interfaces.
Ensure ICAPS data base population
Coordinate with other project entities / disciplines /existing facilities.
Ensure that the lists of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures are fully comprehensive, including operational test procedures.
Ensure that the Process-Piping pre-commissioning and commissioning spare parts, consumables equipment, special tools, etc are sufficient and available in time.
Review preparation of the RFC dossiers for Process and piping discipline and follow up for close on any punch list and defects from RFC walk down so as no delay to Commissioning schedule and subsystem RFC
Ensure Piping. Pipeline and vessel preservation strategy and procedure
During the preparation phase, attendance of FAT on need basis.

EPCIC Commissioning Execution Phase
Follow the contractor ’s Piping-Process commissioning activities using the OPERCOM® Methodology and ICAPS© (Integrated Commissioning and Progress System) software.
Follow the execution of Piping-Process commissioning activities to achieve commissioning schedule completion target.
Reporting of commissioning execution to ensure that all technical, contractual information are properly
recorded, collected and available for inspection/reference as required by law regulations and COMPANY policies.
Control and follow-up Hydrotest Pack priorities
Control and follow-up Flange Management and N2/He Leak Test
Control and follow-up on red line mark-up drawings
Ensure proper Punch Item entry and closure
Technical support to Process/Piping discipline and Contractor
Prepare daily, weekly, and final commissioning reports.
Ensure all commissioning activities are conducted in accordance with HSE policies and permit-to-work
systems.
Participate in risk assessments and method statement reviews.
Lead Piping-Process system safety awareness and toolbox talks.
Coordinate with multi-discipline commissioning leads to ensure integrated system commissioning
Control and follow-up on VENDORS commissioning scope of work activities such as: SAT, OTPs, documents
update and Closing of Punch list
Follow for piping and pipeline system preservation
Leading commissioning spare parts and special tools handover process to FOPS team.
 
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
Ruya Batch-1 WHP EPCIC 11 Project involves the development of the new 9 satellite Offshore platforms
and includes Integration into existing facility.
The Project is executed in 2 campaigns, as follow:
Campaign 1, Onshore commissioning, position resident at Qingdao, China
Campaign 1, Offshore commissioning, position in rotation, Al Shaheen field, Qatar
Campaign 2, Onshore commissioning, position resident at Qingdao, China
Campaign 2, Offshore commissioning, position in rotation, Al Shaheen field, Qatar
This Project will require complex interfaces with other entities of company
 
Qualifications & Experience Required
Qualification: Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree or equivalent in engineering,
Experience: At least 15 years’ experience in the offshore oil & gas industry with minimum 7 years’
experience in a lead Commissioning role,
Experienced with company Standards (Total General Specifications), OPERCOM and ICAPS, MANASA
DCC Database and relevant codes and standards,
Computer literate
Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,
H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.
