Functional Dimension:

Absheron development reference agreements are PSA, JOA and addendums.
EPS platform adjacent and connected to existing facilities, operated with dedicated philosophies for safety, maintenance, inspections, integrity.
Absheron FFD: major national project, second only to Shah Deniz.
Multicultural context with documents in different languages, mainly Azerbaijani or English

Activities

Reporting to the Production Support & Smart Room Manager, the Process Engineer will provide process engineering and operational support to the site and to achieve the best safety, reliability, efficiency, production, environmental and cost performance.

The job holder main responsibilities are:

In operations:

 Provide immediate technical support to site operations for process upsets and front-line trouble shooting to ensure continual safe and efficient delivery of production targets.
 Provide process and operational assistance in the preparation, organization and analysis of site-based trials, issuing of guidelines/procedures as required to ensure trials are controlled and carried out in a safe and meaningful manner.
 Propose and justify modifications to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, production, environmental and cost performance.
 Optimization of start-up, shutdown and intervention programmes to minimise production shortfalls.
 Analyse equipment performance data to optimize the plant operating conditions
 Follow up production chemistry activities and injection efficiency
 Provide technical support during the site operations team (Offshore trip and missions to be considered)
 Plant monitoring in liaison with the site (daily process monitoring, action plans, etc.)
 The follow-up of engineering and technical developments required for RFM.

In the project (Full Field development):

 Take an active part in the review of the process discipline documents (PFD, PID, calculation notes, process simulation, basis of design...) as well as flow assurance documents by providing relevant comments in due time.
 Participate in HAZOP, HAZID and technical process reviews, and pro-actively contribute to the resolution of the resulting action items when required.
 Ensure facilities are operable, maintainable and start-up friendly.
 Challenge over-complex designs and promote a "fit-for-operations" approach.
 Review process control philosophy and alarm management.
 Work by anticipation. Assess and identify risks for the FFD activities and manage associated mitigation actions at his/her level.
 Participate in the development of the operating procedures and operator check sheets.
 Promote digitalization and innovation as far as compatible with good enough approach for all activities. To seek optimization and savings all along the different phases of the project. To focus on costs (3P initiatives) without impairing QHSE objectives. Ensuring the implementation of all mandatory company software.
 Review and challenge flow assurance studies.
 Assist with the development of the metering requirements and allocation philosophy.
 Participate in SIL and Alarm rationalization exercises.
 Be the focal point for the FOPS process matters.

• Absheron FFD: major national project, second only to Shah Deniz, with high strategic and political significance.
• Major transformation challenge: operatorship shift + workforce stability + talent attrition (regional competition)
• Critical export dependency: Oil Rocks (SOCAR), BTC pipeline (1,800 km / 1.2 Mb/d, TTE 5%), FFD gas pipelines , complex tie-ins and constrained market access.

Accountabilities

To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour regarding HSSE, to implement HSSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.
Using TEPAB rules and procedures and best work practices, establish and maintain a set of specific procedures complying with main agreements signed (PSA / JOA), to cover the co-ordination and control of activities.
Act as an active participant of the SMART Room to support the Site and project Activities.
Be the focal point for the process matters for operations and project

Qualifications/Experience required

 Level / Diploma: Master degree in Process / Chemical Engineering.
 Professional Experience: 5 years of experience in Operations of oil & gas facilities. An operational experience on offshore/onshore production sites is highly recommended.

 Knowledge of:

- Flow Assurance and Production Chemistry
- Operations of Offshore Oil and Gas facilities
- Well Performance

 Other required Competencies:

- Process simulation tools (HYSYS/PROII) and use of IT tools are a must
- Flow assurance tools: Olga, Leda Flow are a plus
- Good level of English (spoken and written) is mandatory
