Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Principal Operations Adviser, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and company HSEQ procedures

* Deliver safe operations through the operator with demonstrable leadership commitment to HSE performance and legal compliance e.g. Safety Case, COMAH, Regulatory requirements, and company HSEQ procedures

* Liaison role in the event of a MAE between operator, Duty manager, Petrofac ERSC & CMT dependent on incident level

Manage and co-ordinate UK JV activities including multi-functional support of JV business processes.

* Develops and delivers on asset KPIs, budget build and production forecasts (HSE, Production, OPEX, CAPEX, Integrity).

* Identifies and drives stewardship on business improvement opportunities aligned to company Excellence standards

* Interacts collaboratively with partner asset Field Managers/ COO ensuring company's position is known and adhered to

* Manages technical and project management interfaces

* Supports Business Development team in new business where required

* Internal reporting of asset status and performance to company senior leadership team

* Uses the KFA process to prioritise teamwork and develops and execute technical, and organisational influencing strategies

* Contribute towards the achievement of company's strategic and operational objective

* Lead and/or participates in negotiations on JV matters and provides guidance and support ensuring an objective perspective is undertaken

* Represents company at the asset committee meetings [OCM/UMC/TCM] and determines level of representation in supporting additional individual forums as required

* Manages reviews of partner Authorisation for Expenditure, evaluating and ensuring cost estimates and project/production operations schedules are robust and consistent with required level of engineering definition

Leads the efforts of the facilities, operations, HSE and other support team members in formulating viable plans to mitigate risk, improve operator performance & development of the assets managed

* Prepares peer reviews in support of any further investment and provides level of assurance on the Operations Readiness for key start-up projects

* Reviews new business requests for services and supports commercial teams

* Ensures technical learning and best practices are shared between the operated and Non-Operated parts of the business facilitating the learning of those practices

* Develops and executes strategies to maximise production and value for the existing assets and that these processes meet the business objectives

* Responsible for 1-2-1s, coaching and personnel development and well-being

* Lead the Production team within NOV to deliver targets and provide support

Experience & Qualifications:

Engineering Degree or Professional technical accreditation

* Proven experience as an Operations Manager or Facilities Lead

* Demonstrable stakeholder management and interpersonal skills both internally and externally including ability to learn from, and influence, others

* Significant and proven experience working in the oil and gas industry across a range of functions including operations, commercial, business and project management

* Considerable knowledge of HSEQ, production, maintenance Management, asset and operating integrity

* Sound knowledge of commercial contracts and contract negotiations

* Experience in managing business, financial analysis and economics

* Proven experience in safe efficient cost reduction delivery
