Practice Leader – Site Civil / Land Development 📍 Lanham or Rockville, MD

We’re working with a well-established and expanding engineering consultancy seeking a Practice Leader to take full ownership of its site civil / land development business.
Reporting directly to executive leadership, this is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to shape strategy, drive growth, and lead a strong technical team delivering complex development projects across the region.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and grow the land development practice, aligning with overall business strategy
- Drive business development, win work, and build long-term client partnerships
- Provide executive oversight across a portfolio of site civil projects
- Guide technical excellence in design, permitting, and delivery
- Own financial performance including revenue, backlog, and profitability
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of engineers and project managers
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and expansion
- 15+ years’ experience in site civil / land development consulting
- Proven leadership in team growth, client development, and project delivery
- Strong commercial and financial management skills
- Deep expertise in design, permitting, and construction processes
- PE license required
- Previous working experience in Anne Arundel County, MD or Howard County, MD.
- Direct reporting line to executive leadership
- Significant autonomy to shape and grow a core business unit
