Job Title: OSBL Area 4 Field Superintendent – Power Generation
Division: E&P – Mozambique LNG Project, Onshore
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced OSBL Field Superintendent to join a landmark LNG onshore project in Northern Mozambique. The successful candidate will support the Area Manager in overseeing construction and execution of the Power Generation systems and associated works, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery in a remote, large-scale project environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example to promote safety culture, ensuring compliance with all HSE requirements across the area.
  • Support the Area Manager in all delegated duties and ensure the team meets corporate and performance standards.
  • Monitor and oversee all construction activities in the Power Generation area from execution through to handover to the Commissioning team.
  • Foster teamwork, trust, and a collaborative environment within the construction team.
  • Develop, review, and implement execution plans, method statements, and procedures, ensuring alignment with project strategies.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with EPC Contractors, Subcontractors, and stakeholders to facilitate timely and safe execution of works.
  • Report progress, deviations, and risks, providing recommendations for mitigation to management.
  • Oversee Precommissioning, SIMOPS activities, and transition to Commissioning, ensuring quality and schedule adherence.
  • Participate in peer reviews and technical assurance to ensure compliance with procedures and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline; advanced degree or professional qualifications preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience on industrial projects, with specific expertise in power generation and distribution systems.
  • At least 10 years in superintendent-level roles managing complex construction scopes.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, quality, schedule, organizational, and reputational risks in large projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills. English required; Portuguese or French advantageous.
  • Willingness to work in a remote rotational site environment with challenging infrastructure and living conditions.
