We are looking for an experienced Plant Inspector to execute and support inspection activities during the EPC and start-up phases through to handover of new facilities to permanent operations.
The role is responsible for early defect detection and ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of plant facilities through inspection, integrity assessment, NDT coordination, reporting, and follow-up of inspection recommendations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform external visual examinations and NDT inspections on vessels, boilers, heat exchangers, pressure safety devices, piping, lifting equipment, and other plant equipment.
  • Conduct preliminary integrity assessments of static equipment and piping and interpret inspection findings.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports, records, test results, and recommendations using Meridium or similar data management systems.
  • Inspect maintenance and capital project activities to ensure welding, painting, fabrication, and installation work complies with established procedures, codes, and standards.
  • Carry out or supervise NDT activities including UT, MT, PT, hardness testing, eddy current, IRIS, thermography, PMI, metallography, boroscopy, and other applicable inspection techniques.
  • Raise inspection recommendations and notifications and follow them through to completion.
  • Support inspection activities during shutdowns, emergencies, remote locations, and other challenging field environments.
  • Maintain inspection tools, instruments, and equipment in operational condition.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractor inspection resources when required.
  • Work closely with Project Management, Operations, Engineering, HSEQ, EPC contractors, vendors, suppliers, and engineering consultants.
Requirements
  • HND in Engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years of in-service inspection experience.
  • Certification in API 510 and/or API 570 or equivalent, with API 653 as required.
  • Knowledge of inspection technologies including UT, MT, PT, RT and Advanced NDT.
  • Awareness of risk-based inspection, corrosion/corrosion control, and damage mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of relevant international codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with Meridium or similar inspection/data management software.
  • Experience using SAP or similar systems for inspection notifications and recommendation tracking is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of plant processes, materials, and static equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
