About the Role Our Client is seeking a Senior Planning/Scheduling Engineer to join our Project Controls team supporting EPC mega projects in the oil & gas, petrochemicals, and industrial gases sectors. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines.

- Gonzales, LA project site during execution phase (travel)

About the Role Our Client is seeking a Senior Planning/Scheduling Engineer to join our Project Controls team supporting EPC mega projects in the oil & gas, petrochemicals, and industrial gases sectors. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to build detailed work plans.
- Track progress against milestones; identify risks, delays, and opportunities.
- Conduct critical path, resource loading, and earned value analysis.
- Provide schedule impact assessments from scope or resource changes.
- Prepare and deliver clear schedule reports and presentations to stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings with project teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Support integration of contractor and vendor schedules into overall project timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or 15+ years of equivalent industry experience).
- 10+ years of experience as a Planning/Scheduling Engineer or Project Controls Specialist on EPC mega projects.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles: schedule development, resource management, earned value management, risk analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Shift: 40 hours/week, office/residence-based.
- Location: Houston, TX office (initially), transitioning to Gonzales, LA site post-engineering phase.
