Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join their Glasgow-based team on a permanent staff basis.
The RoleAs Planning Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of offshore engineering projects by developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and commissioning activities.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, and Operations teams, you will provide accurate planning support and progress reporting to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Create integrated programmes covering engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and commissioning phases.
- Monitor project performance against baseline schedules and identify potential risks and delays.
- Perform critical path analysis and support the development of mitigation and recovery plans.
- Produce regular progress reports, schedule updates, and project performance metrics.
- Support Project Managers with forecasting, resource planning, and project controls activities.
- Coordinate schedule inputs from multidisciplinary engineering and operational teams.
- Participate in planning and progress review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with tender and proposal planning activities when required.
- Ensure planning processes and reporting align with company and client requirements.
- Previous experience in a Planning Engineer, Project Planner, or Project Controls role within offshore oil & gas, energy, EPC, process engineering, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of project execution within engineering and fabrication environments.
- Experience developing and managing project schedules throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline is advantageous.
