The Eastern Area Exploration Department is actively seeking a top Petrophysicist with expertise in data acquisition, QC, log analysis, and core integration to join its world-class team.

As the successful candidate you will have a strong operational understanding of logging tool physics across all service vendors, open and cased hole, wireline and LWD.

You will have exposure to prospecting and petroleum system modeling, and a clear understanding of rock physics, velocity models, and VSP design.

As the successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor's degree in geology or alternative disciplines including physics, geophysics or mathematics.

You will have a minimum of 10-years' experience in Petrophysical analysis of clastics and carbonates.

Strong working knowledge of Geolog and /or Techlog is preferred.

You will be required to perform the following:

Work within a multidisciplinary team, you will review wireline pressures and sample data, have a detailed understanding of rig operations, mud gas, and advanced cutting analysis.

Review core description and thin section analysis for petrophysical integration.

Analyze image interpretation for thin bed analysis, bedding dip, structural analysis and facies interpretation.

Deliver quality petrophysical products in operational timeframes on a daily basis.

Provide cement log interpretations for testing applications.

Function in a leadership-based role, mentoring and training less experienced colleagues, and providing structured training as required.
