We are seeking an immediately available Payroll Administrator for an ongoing contract position with a view to going permanent.

Candidates should be experienced running a payroll of c120 - 140 and have used Sage payroll. The client has expressed a preference for immediate availability or one weeks notice.

Responsibilities:

* Processing of the weekly and monthly staff payrolls using Sage Payroll system

* Keeping up to speed with, and ensuring compliance with, all HMRC regulatory changes including but not limited to IR35

* Responsible for the calculation and processing of all IR35 requirements, and payroll/declaration related activities

* Completion of all statutory information and returns to HMRC and group pension schemes

* Applying PAYE regulations and company rules when calculating and entering company sick pay, statutory sick pay and statutory maternity and paternity pay

* Administering pension deductions

* Liaising with internal departments to ensure necessary information is available for processing, and that all companies processes are followed

* Completing detailed checking procedures to ensure accurate payrolls

* Dealing with correspondence and enquiries from HMRC, benefits, banks, councils etc

* Maintaining accurate records as specified by HMRC and for the purpose of audits

* Maintenance of company benefits such as child-care vouchers, cycle to work schemes etc

* Management of payroll year end activities - generation and submission of P60s and P11Ds

* Timely turnaround of payroll queries, internal and external information requests

Experience & Qualifications:

* Experience in processing payroll

* Oil and Gas experience

* Experience with SAGE 200 and Sage Payroll

* Management accounting experience

* Project accounting experience

* Advanced Microsoft Office qualifications
