Orion Group Life Sciences are currently recruiting a Payroll Administrator (Remote) on behalf of our Multinational Biopharmaceutical Client based in Tipperary on an initial 6-Month contract with view of extension / permanency depending on performance and business requirements.
This role is primarily remote, but onsite presence is needed from time to time for client / business meetings.
The primary responsibility of a Payroll Administrator is to have a keen understanding of all accounting practices that are necessary for this administrative position.
A Payroll Administrator compiles accurate records of timesheets within a software system, computes earnings and withholds mandatory amounts such as taxes or benefits. Position will receive direction and support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Collating and preparing all inputs in advance of payroll processing deadlines
- End-to-end payroll processing in a busy environment of both weekly and monthly pay frequencies for multiple assigned entities in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Dealing with all aspects of the payroll process, BIK, share awards, pension and other voluntary and statutory deductions.
- Dealing with starter and leavers registrations
- Process the monthly PAYE Submissions on ROS
- Manage the timely response to employee requests and queries, and escalate when appropriate
- Complete data validation and data analysis from multiple sources, e.g., HR ERP, T&A, Comp & Benefit providers.
- Collaborating closely with all relevant parties, including the EMEA HR Service Delivery organization, HR Business Partners, and HR Centers of Excellence.
- Supporting payroll peers with documentation of payroll systems, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Participating in projects and working groups.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting or another relevant Payroll qualification; in lieu of a degree
- 2+ years of Irish Payroll experience with a strong understanding of payroll processes, tax, and legal frameworks required.
- Experience in using payroll systems (CoreHR/People XD portal an advantage)
