Project: Mozambique LNG Project – LNG Onshore
Location: Afungi Site, Northern Mozambique (Rotational)

An opportunity is available to join the Mozambique LNG Project, one of the largest energy developments currently under construction globally, with an overall investment of approximately $18 billion. The onshore facilities include two LNG trains with a combined capacity of 13 mtpa, LNG and condensate storage, marine loading facilities, utilities and extensive site infrastructure including permanent camps, roads, security works and an airport. EPC contracts are valued at approximately $9 billion, with construction works estimated at around $4 billion and peak site manpower expected to reach 15,000 personnel.

Reporting to the Area Manager within the ISBL organization, the Package Superintendent (Warm End) will oversee construction activities within the assigned process area and ensure works are executed safely, efficiently and in compliance with project specifications, procedures and contractual requirements. The role requires close coordination with EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors and project discipline teams to ensure delivery of project objectives related to safety, quality, schedule and cost.

Key responsibilities:

• Promoting a strong HSE culture and demonstrating visible safety leadership across contractor teams, monitoring and reporting contractor performance, identifying risks or deviations and supporting mitigation actions where required.
• The role will review contractor assurance documentation, verify that construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures and standards, and interface with engineers, planners and other discipline superintendents to ensure timely delivery of key project milestones.
• The position will also support performance reporting and contribute to the capture and sharing of lessons learned during project execution.

Requirements:

• Candidates should hold a relevant engineering or technical degree or diploma and have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in oil and gas construction projects with exposure to LNG facilities.
• Experience in LNG warm end systems is required, including installation and construction of major process equipment such as gas compressors, refrigeration compressors, centrifugal pumps, air coolers, shell and tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, flare systems, pipe racks and large-bore process piping.
• Experience with mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and equipment preservation activities is also expected.

This is a rotational site-based role located at the Afungi LNG development site in remote Northern Mozambique.
