Package Manager
 
Our client, a global offshore wind developer, is seeking an experienced Package Manager to support a major floating offshore wind project. This is a key role within the project delivery team, responsible for managing critical infrastructure packages, with a particular focus on export and inter-array cables.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end management of cable packages, including export and inter-array systems, from design through to installation and commissioning.
  • Oversee contractor selection, tendering processes, and contract negotiations.
  • Manage supplier performance to ensure delivery aligns with project schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and installation teams to ensure seamless integration of cable systems within the wider wind farm project.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with HSE and regulatory standards.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders on package progress, risks, and key milestones
  • Support interface management across multiple workstreams within the floating wind development.
 
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Package Manager within offshore wind or large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of export and inter-array cable systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working on offshore wind farm developments (fixed or floating).
  • Solid understanding of project lifecycle delivery, from FEED through execution.
  • Experience managing complex contractor and supplier relationships.
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination abilities.
  • Familiarity with UK offshore regulations and standards.

Contract Details
  • 12-month contract based in Aberdeen.
  • Engagement via limited company.
  • Competitive day rate (dependent on experience).
