Job Title: OSBL Marine Area 1 Field Superintendent
Division: E&P – Mozambique LNG Project, Onshore
Reporting to: OSBL Marine Area Manager

Overview:
A major onshore LNG development is seeking an experienced OSBL Marine Area Field Superintendent to oversee the execution of marine and related civil infrastructure works, including jetties, marine offloading facilities (MOF), and temporary facilities. The project includes two LNG trains (13 mtpa), storage facilities, utilities, and extensive early site infrastructure. Peak site personnel are expected to reach 15,000, with construction valued at approximately $4 billion. This is a rotational role in a remote Northern Mozambique location with challenging infrastructure and health and security considerations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate strong HSE leadership, promoting a safe and compliant work environment across all teams.
  • Support the Area Manager in managing the marine team and ensuring performance standards are met.
  • Monitor all construction activities in the designated area, from execution to pre-commissioning handover.
  • Maintain a strong physical presence on site, providing oversight, guidance, and immediate reporting of issues.
  • Develop execution plans, method statements, and procedures to ensure safe, high-quality, and timely work delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with EPC Contractors, facilitating resolution of technical and organizational issues.
  • Review construction progress, report deviations or risks, and propose mitigation measures.
  • Contribute to lessons learned, technical assurance reviews, and peer reviews to enhance project performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Engineering degree or related discipline; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in industrial projects, ideally LNG, GTL, petrochemical, refinery, or gas processing plants.
  • At least 10 years’ experience as a Field Superintendent in marine-focused projects (jetties, MOFs, civil infrastructure).
  • Strong HSE culture, leadership, and communication skills; English proficiency required, Portuguese or French advantageous.
  • Ability to manage complex projects in remote locations with safety, quality, schedule, and cost accountability.
Location & Environment:

Remote Northern Mozambique site with rotational schedule, malaria, COVID, and security mitigation measures in place.
