OSBL Area 3 Field/Construction Superintendent – Utilities & Pipeline Corridor
Location: Mozambique (Rotational) 28/28
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced OSBL Field Superintendent to join a major LNG development project in Mozambique. This is a site-based rotational role on a large-scale, complex onshore energy project involving LNG trains, utilities, power generation, storage and extensive pipeline infrastructure.
The Role
Reporting to the OSBL Area 3 Manager, you will support the safe and efficient delivery of Utilities, Pipeline Corridor, MEG and associated offsites scope. You will oversee EPC contractor activities, ensuring construction is executed in accordance with project specifications, procedures, schedule and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide visible safety leadership and champion a strong HSE culture
• Monitor and oversee utilities and pipeline construction activities through to handover
• Review and support execution plans, method statements and construction procedures
• Track contractor progress and identify risks or schedule deviations
• Manage SIMOPS and support pre-commissioning and commissioning transitions
• Coordinate with QA/QC, planning and commissioning teams
• Ensure accurate documentation, as-built records and system turnover
• Participate in site meetings, emergency drills and incident investigations
Requirements
• Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• 15+ years industry experience, with 5+ years in a Superintendent or equivalent role
• Strong greenfield project experience
• Background in LNG, gas processing, refinery or petrochemical environments
• Experience in utilities and pipeline construction
• Knowledge of API, ASME, ISO, NFPA standards
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in remote, large-scale international projects preferred
