Operations Engineer / Operations Team Lead

As part of the ongoing greenfield project, our client has a requirement for an experienced operations Engineer / Operations Team Lead to be based in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Responsibilities

  • Manages engineering and technical staff; Organize the process of increasing the knowledge and development of the engineering staff and make proposals for the involvement of engineers and technicians in the training;
  • Checks the preparation of works in accordance with the requirements of the permit system and manages the safe, high-quality, compliance with procedures and timely implementation. STOP CARD, which serves the security policy of the department, promotes, ensures and inspects the operation of the AUDIT system;
  • Participates in technological process management, maintenance and service planning of service equipment. Checks whether a Risk Assessment has been conducted to identify hazards prior to the implementation of planned activities and comments on the implementation;
  • Commissioning of completed wells, development of measures to combat salt, paraffin deposits and corrosion in wells and pipelines, development of plans and schedules for impact operations on the wellbore zone and ensuring their implementation;
  • Timely preparation of oilfield facilities for repair, quality control of repair work, organization of uninterrupted and safe operation of equipment and facilities to analyze technological processes and prepare proposals for their improvement;
  • Participate in the development of measures to eliminate accidents at process facilities and production wells; Participates in the elimination of the emergency situation by assisting the head of the foundation in accordance with the requirements of protection of people, process, environment during the emergency.

Skills and Experience

  • Work Permit System (PTW), systems isolation rules, rules of protection of people, process environment during emergency response,
  • Rules of operation of oil and gas fields, technology of production process for oil and gas extraction; Techniques and technology of underground and overhaul of wells; Rules for stopping wells for repair, implementation of advanced technical and technological measures, timely and quality commissioning of wells after major and current repairs;
  • Basics of well construction technology; Causes of technical failures, accidents and difficulties at oil facilities, methods of their prevention and elimination; Local and foreign experience in oil and gas production;
  • Computer technology, means of communication and communication;
  • Must be ready to work as a team.

  • Platform leader functions and people management
  • Be familiar with and apply Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, RCFA, RACI, DIO, etc. systems.
  • Must have technical production knowledge
  • Must be knowledgeable in marine operations engineering, maintenance / repair, planning, logistics and ship operations
  • Must have strong leadership skills to develop themselves and their peers and to give positive or negative feedback to subordinates.
