This role exists to support safe and efficient operations of the North Sea operated assets. The role holder manages the delivery of support activities to ensure production operations are delivered efficiently, meeting production targets and minimize operating costs, in compliance with all governmental and company regulations and legislation, policies, procedures and standards, including HSEQ and Competence Assurance. The Operations Support Manager provides tactical assistance to the Operations Manager and is responsible for maintaining an effective plan across 3M and 28D time horizons, competent work force, effective operating procedures and processes, Operational readiness for key activities including turnarounds, and operational solutions to arising issues. The operated assets are located in The Netherlands and the UK Southern North Sea and comprise of J6A manned facility and the Chiswick and Grove NUI’s. The operations support manager also acts as the operational point of contact for third party operated fields K1A, J3C and K4AD.

Role Deliverables and Responsibilities
§  Works with the Asset operations team to ensure that Operating procedures are maintained and appropriately utilised in support of safe and efficient operations.
§  Support development of and formulation of operations budgets and maintain oversight of commitments and forecasting within areas of budget control.
§  Ensure operating procedures are in place for non-routine operations including but not limited to Turnarounds, pipeline pigging or flushing operations, Maintenance and inspection activities requiring intrusive activities (breaking containment), Stop / Start programs and manage delivery of the TAR Prestart up Safety Review (PSSR).
§  Coordinate support activities of rotational field operations staff during office period to provide effective operations input to work management preparation, shutdown preparation etc.
§  Operations focal point for managing availability of processing equipment on the infrastructure including particular focus on produced water handling facilities. This aspect closely liaises with the Process engineers, Production Technologist and Reservoir Engineers.
§  Provide technical input to Process Hazard Reviews, Hazop / Hazid activities.
§  Provide technical input to the functional teams to develop common processes e.g. Control of Work etc.
§  Ensure Competence Management system compliance within the NL operations teams in order to maintain KPI of 85% compliance.
§  Ensure robust development and management of 3M and 28D plans to deliver safe and efficient operations. Manage application of Gate criteria and After-Action Review processes. Provide AAR feedback learnings into the planning cycle.
§  Liaising with the Asset environmental engineer manage implementation of LDAR programs and associated follow up actions in compliance with EU methane emission regulations.
§  Support development and maintenance of Asset people succession plan.
§  Carry out 1st line of defense operational audits within the field and manage where appropriate close out of Audit Actions.
§  Support MyHSE investigations and where required lead investigations identifying root causes and proposing appropriate actions.
§  Hands-on involvement on a case-by-case basis as needed to manage operational crises / operational performance challenges, in cooperation with other company departments and external third parties. Act as a central point of contact for direct reports in order to reduce the impact of emergency situations. Support Critical Incident, HSEQ and other post-crisis reviews and reporting processes, to add Operations insight, identify root causes and recommend action to prevent re-occurrence and minimize risk and loss due to production downtime, accident or injury.
§  Develop, maintain and extend contact with external stakeholders, including
partners, suppliers, contractors and other third parties, in order to develop effective relationships, promote customer satisfaction and support fulfilment of Operations objectives.
§  Primary focal point for third party field operational activities, managing monthly interface meetings with third parties including informing them about the progress of the agreements made with regard to daily production, shutdown planning and in case of foreseen production issues, in order to create optimal relationships and satisfaction.
§  Achieve and Maintain NVQ verifier competencies.
§  When Required Represent Spirit NL to advise decision-making authorities and promote the company’s point of view at relevant industry, government and advisory meetings. Actively participate in industry working groups including ElementNL workgroups.
§  As a member of the Installation Modification Review Team, provide operational expertise and insight to technical reviews of Installation Modification Proposals. Identify HSEQ or other operational implications of change. Filter, prioritize and assign responsibility of agreed production activities for the change and/or maintenance of production installations.
§  Identify opportunities within existing installations to improve efficiencies, bringing new insight and innovation. Initiate and contribute to process improvements, manage and monitor the implementation after approval of the Operations Manager, to deliver targeted process improvements, manage production more efficiently and reduce costs without compromising company HSEQ policies or standards or contravening government legislation.
§  One of two nominated deputies for the North Sea Operations Manager.
§  Performs nominated emergency response role/duties and maintains the necessary competencies to perform these duties on an on call rota basis.
§  Achieve and maintain competencies to act as OIM on J6A if required for periods of cover
