We are currently hiring for an Operations Drilling Superintendent (Land Deep Drilling Operations). This position based in Kuwait onshore site-based drilling rigs.
Purpose
The Drilling Superintendent/Operations Superintendent is responsible to direct and control all operational functions of the rig(s) under his supervision: including safety, drilling, moving, logistics (material + personnel) and maintenance; coordinate all phases of the rig’s operations in a safe, effective and efficient manner, including management of subcontractor’s services at the rig side.
Minimum requirements
Minimum 20+ years’ experience in Oil & Gas Industry and the last 5 years worked as Drilling Superintendent / Operations Superintendent in land deep drilling rigs.
Should have valid Supervisory Level Well Sharp / IWCF / Second Line Well Control Certification.
Project management capability.
Financial Responsibilities:
Control cost of operations by frequent cost analysis. Determine means of improving efficiency and reducing costs where possible.
To plan and coordinate repairs of major budget items to minimize downtime and provide the most cost effective means of maintaining company’s equipment to the highest standards and contractual requirements .
QHSE Responsibilities:
To lead through effective safety leadership by being personal responsible for Implementation of the QHSEMS as per QMS .
Ensure that all operations are conducted safely, emphasizing management’s and clients commitment to safety, by reaching QHSSE compliance by all levels of operation.
Ensure Waste Management Plan is adhered.
Operation
Ensure well programs and schedules are well known to the rig sides and adequate written instruction is given .
Gives technical advises on operation or find support and information whenever required or deemed necessary by operations or client.
Manage and oversee the utilization of resources, equipment and personnel to minimize NPT .
Ensuring the Company’s RAMS program is utilized routinely at a high standard.
Business Planning / Continuous Improvement / Organization Efficiency
Ensure all work is performed within the requirements and guidance of the company QMS process
Supporting, promoting and actively participating in the Company’s CAP (Competency Assurance Program) process.
Implementing API Q2 & ISO 9001 standards in the department and ensure compliance with same.

Qualifications
- Technical school degree
- 2nd foreign language
- Financing course for non-financing functions
- PC literate in Microsoft Office
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Skills / Knowledge
- Know, understand and apply BWD Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
- Detailed knowledge of BWD business units and activities.
- Detailed knowledge of BWD work processes, policies and procedures.
