Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Operations Manager based in Aberdeen with an Operator. This is a PAYE contract until mid-December 2026 and will involve occasional assets trips (onshore and offshore).
To provide leadership to the ongoing onshore and offshore operations whilst creating significant value for the company through stewardship of the operated and non-operated assets across the full lifecycle: safe, compliant operational performance and effective cost management delivering positive net cash to the company business. Through strong and effective leadership of the teams to:
Ensures compliance, safe operations and integrity of the Asset.
Act as a figurehead, hold legal accountability for company and manage key stakeholders within the asset group.
Key contributor to definition of strategic operating direction and ensure operations, maintenance and Inspection execution of the business plan from 8Q down.
Promote best operations practice across the company operated asset portfolio.
Collaborate closely with technical and support functions.
Ensure robust asset management policies and strategies are in place to maximise value for the company through life of field.
Role Deliverables and Responsibilities:
Accountable for:
Delivering safe and reliable operations of the Hub asset
Ensuring compliance to statutory legislation, company policy & standards and procedures.
Implementation of 8Q plans and below to ensure effective operation, inspection and maintenance of the facilities is maintained.
Leading significant improvement in safety performance of the asset: safety and environmental standards, policies, guidelines and procedures are understood and deployed, and health and safety objectives and targets are met.
Leading improvement in process safety and control of work to reduce risk and building a culture of operating discipline (mindful compliance).
Delivering a significant cost reduction through changing the operating approach and implementing robust cost management and controls within the operations team.
Delivery of the operational performance of the asset including safety, production, reliability and cost targets.
Use of performance metrics to drive delivery across all aspects of asset operations delivering value.
Ownership, prioritisation and implementation of the asset execution plans.
Providing visible leadership and strong communication to ensure good workforce engagement.
Operational stewardship of lifecycle asset management through to decommissioning which delivers management of key risks and maximises value for the company
CMAPP Commitments and HSE Policy:
Promotes a positive Incident Free Workplace culture by driving HSES and process safety performance and regulatory compliance through adherence to company standards & procedures, including the company CMAPP and HSES Policy.
Perform nominated emergency response role/duties and maintain the necessary competencies to perform these duties.

Work Experience:
The job holder must possess depth of experience in management onshore and/or offshore operations within the oil and gas industry.
Experience of working in a major oil and gas company is beneficial.
Experience in Asset Operations along with one or more of Engineering, Commercial, planning leadership
