Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Operations Advisor, based in Aberdeen ( with trips Barrow/Offshore) for a 6 month contract role.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the refresh of the company’s Permit to Work Process (PtW)and Safe Isolation and Reinstament of Plant processes - both the development and coordination of the embedding. The revised processes will be standardized across the assets and ensure the right balance between effective and efficient. This activity will be done in close cooperation with asset personnel
- Lead the update/enhancement to the company’s electronic permit to work system, including effective MoC and any required procedural changes
- Lead the introduction and required MoC for an electronic handover and Control of temporary equipment tool.
- Working with the Training and Competence Team drive improvements in the effectiveness and efficiency of the T&C process for Operated Assets. A key focus is on how to measure status of T&C across shifts.
- Maintains an active cross asset Operations Integrity Forum
- Production Operations
- Provide support and objective input to any complex production operations issues or threats across the operated assets
Specific Requirements:
- Degree preferred, however not essential with the right experience
- The post demands in depth experience of the oil and gas industry including extensive experience within operations at supervisory and management levels to manage the diverse range of activities.
- BOSIET and MIST ( or ability to get these)
- Strong operational leadership and management skills commensurate with influencing large operational teams in Major Accident and Hazard environments
- Recognised leader in Operating Integrity
- Effective Financial management of costs
- Maintains and continues to develop the competencies necessary to carry out the role to the required standard.
- Good understanding of operational management and operations readiness and assurance
- Good understanding of major hazard legislation and its implication for operational controls
- Good understanding of Process Safety Management and the practical applications of an operating integrity framework.
- A decisive leader who sets high standards and drives performance. Is agile, flexible, open to challenge and able to challenge appropriately.
- Great communication skills that informs/shares knowledge clearly and unambiguously, influences and persuades in a constructive way, sometimes influencing a change in the course of conversations, to gain agreement and collaboration.
- Leads and promotes organisational change; makes collaborative, high-quality and timely decisions; takes informed risks and learns from failures.
