Operational Excellence Manager – Aberdeen / Remote

Fantastic opportunity to join an international offshore vessel management company as it enters its next stage of growth.

This senior role will be responsible for developing, implementing and leading the Operational Excellence strategy and function across the organisation, ensuring it is aligned with the wider business strategy and delivers continuous improvement.
A key part of the remit will be driving operational excellence across both onshore and offshore work sites, ensuring operations are carried out safely, reliably and efficiently, in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practice.

The Role
  • Develop and successfully implement the Operational Excellence strategy, aligned with the wider business strategy, and regularly report on progress against the plan.
  • Lead and promote a strong operational excellence and safety culture across all onshore and offshore worksites.
  • Develop and continuously improve the Business Management System (BMS) to manage technical and operational risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory, legislative, ISM and relevant ISO requirements.
  • Provide marine and technical operational support and governance to fleet management and offshore teams, helping ensure best-in-class vessel operations.
  • Identify and deliver strategic technical and performance improvement projects, including the introduction of new technology and ways of working to enhance fleet reliability, efficiency and service delivery.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, operational dashboards and performance reporting across QHSE and fleet technical performance to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Required Experience

  • Relevant Health & Safety / Quality qualification to degree or diploma standard.
  • Extensive experience in a senior Operational Excellence / QHSE role within the marine and offshore industry.
  • Demonstrable track record of developing and embedding an operational excellence culture across a business.
  • Strong knowledge of the ISM Code, ISO standards, Lean and Six Sigma, with experience applying these in an operational environment.
  • Proven experience developing and improving management systems in line with regulatory, legislative and industry requirements.
  • Strong leadership and change management capability, with experience successfully leading teams and implementing business-wide improvement programmes.

Location - The role will ideally be based from the Aberdeen office, although candidates based elsewhere may be considered where they are able to travel to Aberdeen regularly.
