Offshore Structures Engineer required – Remote work outside of IR35.

Execute structural analysis for offshore substructures and topsides.
Study and define the best technical solutions for offshore structures (both substructures and topsides) during various design stages (feasibility, FEED, detail design).
Review technical documentation and analyses produced by others.
Prepare sketch drawings and concept and feasibility studies.
Liaise with other disciplines during project execution for the execution of the assigned tasks.
Prepare and review all technical documentation related to Structural Design activities during the different phases of the Project, such as Conceptual Study, FEED, Tender and Contract package preparation, detailed engineering, and Operations.
Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline such as Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Structural Engineering or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering (with focus on structures).
Demonstrable experience in design of structures in all project phases (feasibility study, FEED, detailed engineering, and Operations).
Proficient usage of the following software: DNVGL SESAM Suite, USFOS, ANSYS, SACS, STAAD.
Able to handle highly complex and diverse tasks while applying a high level of independent judgment. Strong communication, interpersonal skills and excellent engineering judgement.
Experience in analyses and design of offshore structures, in accordance to ISO1900 series, API RP2A, AISC, DNV codes.
Ability to create and verify FEM models of fixed offshore structures, e.g. jacket and topside, for in-place and temporary conditions.
Experience in the definition and design of foundation systems, including but not limited to foundation piles and mud mats.
Experience in re-design and assessment of brownfield structures, life extension, reliability analyses, with a strong attitude towards problem solving and capacity to make critical choices.
Experience in design for nonlinear analyses, blast, dropped objects, impact, redundancy, pushover analyses.
Experience with floaters design.
Experience in definition of tender documentation for offshore structures.
Experience in follow up and review of structural documentation prepared by others including Contractors.
Capacity to analyse and make independent recommendations for the solution to problems with varying complexity.
Ability to suggest innovative solutions.
Proactive approach in decisional process and problem-solving skills.
