THE OPPORTUNITY – OFFSHORE PLANNER
The Offshore Planner is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving the integrated asset planning process to support safe, efficient, and reliable offshore operations. The role ensures plans are robust, prioritised, and aligned with asset objectives, with specific responsibility for Central Complex and NUI operations.
The position provides daily support to offshore operations, guiding prioritisation in collaboration with the Offshore Operations Manager and wider teams. The role is accountable for compiling and facilitating short- and medium-term plans, including the 28-day and 3-month (3M) plans, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and readiness for execution.
The Offshore Planner plays a key role in integrating activities across operations, maintenance, projects, and decommissioning, ensuring efficient use of resources and management of SIMOPS risks. As a contributor to the 8-quarter (8Q) planning process, the role supports long-term planning alignment and visibility of future workload. he role will also be responsible to provide offshore planning cover for short durations only.
Through structured planning, coordination, and continuous improvement, the Offshore Planner ensures safe, efficient, and optimised delivery of offshore activities.

Duration: 2-year contract
Contract Type: PAYE
Day Rate: TBC - For your application to be progressed, please ensure you provide a PAYE day rate banding expectation. Please note that there is no travel and accommodation allowance provided.

Spirit Energy currently have a non-contractual hybrid working arrangement for all office-based workers. 4 days must be worked in the office with compulsory days being Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The fourth day worked in-office (either Monday or Friday) is of the worker’s choosing but should be in keeping with what is most efficient and effective for their team. The office is open 5 days a week for full time, in-office working if this is the contractor’s preference.
AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT…
In role, you will be required to:
Integrated Planning & Process Excellence
Develop and maintain integrated asset plans for offshore operations. Implement planning standards and drive consistency and rigor. Enforce planning process stage gates.
Short- & Medium-Term Planning
Compile and facilitate 28-day and 3-month (3M) plans. Ensure plans are prioritised, integrated, and executable. Drive stakeholder engagement and readiness for delivery.
Operations Support & Prioritisation
Provide daily planning support to offshore operations. Guide prioritisation aligned to safety, integrity, and production objectives. Support Offshore Operations Manager and teams.
Schedule Integration & Coordination
Produce and maintain weekly 4-week (4W) plans. Integrate activities across operations, maintenance, projects, and decommissioning. Support schedule optimisation and compliance.
SIMOPS & Risk Management
Identify and manage SIMOPS clashes and constraints. Ensure risks are understood and mitigated within plans. Maintain oversight of operational risk assessments (ORA).
Barrier & Integrity Integration
Ensure barrier model considerations are integrated into plans. Maintain visibility of integrity risks and constraints. Support safe and compliant execution of activities.
Long-Term Planning (8Q Process)
Contribute to the 8-quarter (8Q) planning process. Support alignment of long-term activities with business objectives. Provide visibility of future workload and resource demand.
Stakeholder & Interface Management
Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Projects, and support functions. Ensure alignment of inputs into plans. Facilitate clear communication of priorities and risks.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Monitor planning performance and plan attainment. Identify and implement improvements in planning processes. Drive efficiency and effectiveness across the asset.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
- Qualifications / experience in Project Management and Project Controls
- Significant experience and knowledge of Primavera P6, and SAP
- Significant knowledge and experience of integrated planning in an Operations environment
- Understanding of Project Controls, across Planning, Cost, Risk, MoC, etc.
- Knowledge of SIMOPS management and operational risk integration
- Ability to develop and manage integrated schedules across multiple functions
- Data-driven planning and performance analysis capability
- Primavera P6, and SAP
- Desirable, technical background qualification.
- Project Management / Planning qualifications (desirable)
- Experience in oil & gas / offshore operations environment
