Azeri Nationals or resident in country, if you're an Offshore Medic you are needed in Baku!

Reporting to the Occupational Health Manager, essential job duties will be;

  • Provision of proper advice on health, sanitary and epidemiological situation on site, and necessary control measures to be implemented as required
  • Taking all necessary measures to prevent infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID-19
  • Overseeing First Aid & medical preparedness on site, including but not limited to organization and continuous training for First Aid teams in the workplace, and supervision and control over correct implementation of FA measures, and inspection of FA equipment, kits, eye wash stations and emergency shower
  • Provision primary and emergency care for ill/injured party on site preparation for and carrying out air medical evacuation to secondary and tertiary medical facilities
  • Continuous monitoring workers health at work site and take preventive measures to ensure their health, including but not limited to their compliance with fitness for task requirements
  • Illness and injury reporting as per site and medical reporting lines
  • Continuous maintenance of all health documentation and medical records considering full compliance with medical confidentiality requirements
  • Taking full responsibility over planning and ordering for timely supply of medicines, consumables and PPE for protection against respiratory infections include but not limited to COVID-19
  • Continuous maintenance of the sick bay in terms of required standards including but not limited to proper use of medical equipment, safety, hygiene, cleaning and housekeeping
  • Control and inspection of continuous maintenance of required cleaning and sanitary requirements in canteen, accommodation and recreational premises, and oversee implementation of disinfection activities as per required standards in terms of regularity, volume and quality
  • Control and inspection over all stages of food safety on site including its delivery, storage, preparation and serving
  • Perform portable water sampling and oversee correct implementation of water disinfection as necessary
  • Active participate in safety inspections when required
  • Conduct drug and alcohol test in the workplaces by selective way when needed
  • Conduct site industrial hygiene measurements such as noise, hazardous substances and radiation if applicable/required
  • Continuously refresh site personnel's FA knowledge and perform risk based health promotion activities including but not limited to prevention of various infectious diseases, healthy life style, quit smoking, food and water hygiene, heat and cold stress.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in General Medicine
  • Valid medical license as per Azerbaijan legal requirements
  • Medical experience in the fields of emergency care/anaesthesiology/surgery/general medicine/family practice or as military doctor
  • Work experience as offshore or remote onshore location site medic preferably in Oil & Gas industry
  • Fluency (verbal and written) in Azerbaijani
  • Competent user of MS Office and Windows applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Diploma or Master Degree in Occupational Medicine
  • Valid certificate(s) of proficiency in Advanced Pre-Hospital Care, Emergency Medicine, ACLS, ATLS
  • Upper-intermediate English skills
  • Good presentation skills
