Offshore HSSE Lead

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Offshore HSSE Lead. This is a short-term PAYE contract role starting asap until the end of the year to cover a secondment. It will be on a 2/3 rotation. Candidates must have held an HSE leadership role offshore in the UKCS supporting a busy production platform. Current eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
 
Role overview:               
 
This role provides leadership for operational HSE activities on the installation, ensuring safe, secure, and sustainable operations at all times. It supports Offshore Leadership in developing and sustaining a strong HSE culture, promoting open and transparent reporting, and driving high performance while ensuring full compliance with the HSE Management System and UK regulatory requirements.
 
This is a highly influential HSSE position that is critical to the success of the installation. The role requires the delivery of practical, hands-on support and timely intervention across the organisation. It combines visible leadership with effective coaching, mentoring, and functional guidance to strengthen HSSE capability and continuously improve performance.
 
Responsibilities to include:
 
  • Lead the onboarding process for all new personnel on the installation, ensuring compliance with site-specific requirements and HSE standards.
  • Monitor and continuously improve operational Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance across the installation.
  • Implement, maintain, and assure adherence to the HSE Management System, ensuring alignment with regulatory and company standards.
  • Ensure all incidents are thoroughly investigated, with effective follow-up actions implemented and lessons learned communicated across the workforce.
  • Oversee and ensure the effective delivery and readiness of Emergency Response capabilities on the installation.
