As a member of the Carrington Project team, you will be undertaking the role of NEC Project Manager as detailed in NEC4 ECC conditions For and ME&I (Option C) and Access Works (Scaffolding) Option E packages of work on the Carrington project.
You will be responsible for fulfilling the NEC PM roles for these contracts and other activities in accordance with the client's Division of Responsibilities for the contract including:
This is an integral role that will help successfully deliver the first project at Carrington. The successful candidate will have extensive NEC and ME&I experience specifically in a heavy industry setting. the candidate must be an effective communicator and collaborator both inwardly and outwardly, leading or working as part of a team as the activity requires. An ability to be able to quickly identify key risk areas and to prioritise is essential for the role as is being able to assimilate complex information and data.
To be successful in the role:
Essential:
· Extensive NEC ECC experience.
· A strong knowledge of construction law.
· Commercially astute.
· ME&I experience.
· Attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills (written and Oral) and a collaborative mindset.
· Recognised qualification in an Engineering discipline related to ME&I.
· Minimum 7 - 10 years’ experience, including at least 5 years working on NEC projects.
· Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel & Word).
· Have good attention to detail.
· High level of integrity and diplomacy.
· A highly motivated, reliable, responsible and driven.

You will be responsible for fulfilling the NEC PM roles for these contracts and other activities in accordance with the client's Division of Responsibilities for the contract including:
- Being the SME for the Contractor’s Scope and drafting Scope changes through a redline markup process so as to maintain a live scope version at all times. Support provided by the engineering function as required.
- Reviewing the Contractor applications for payment and the Senior Quantity Surveyor’s Payment certificated in respect of the same.
- Leading Early Warning Meetings.
- Administering Change (Compensation Events/Quotations) assisted by the Senior Quantity Surveyor and others as required.
- Assisting in the review of the Contractor’s Programmes led by the Project Planner.
- Drafting and Issuing Project Manager’s Instructions.
- Work with the Supervisor and Quality Assurance lead to develop and drive Quality Management under the contracts.
- Issuing Certificates under the contracts as required.
- Leading and minuting of Contractor progress meetings.
- Completing the internal weekly report for the Client.
- Advising the Client on all risks and opportunities and
- more generally to lead and assure that the administration of the contract is up to date and maintained.
