Position: NDT Operator
Position Info:
Work Location: Offshore Construction Vessel
Position Schedule: ASAP, 1 year (renewable)
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Technical education;
Work experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
Knowledge of Languages: English (good), Azerbaijani (fluent)
Other Skills/Certificates Required:
• Knowledge of NDT equipment of common use in offshore projects;
• Full understanding of the usage and ergonomy of the equipment to design it in a fully safe
way, foreseeing and preventing the most of events that can cause problems to operators;
• Knowledge of safety procedure and safety working instructions;
• Certification - MT, PT
Responsibilities:
• Execute operative duties for conventional NDT (RT, UT, etc.) and AUT. In particular each
operation related to AUT (AUT scanner maintenance, AUT band and scanner positioning on
the pipe and follow up of the scanner during AUT inspection);
• The Operator executes the activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring the
compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements. Tasks include:
• Carry out the required NDT inspection (either RT or AUT), following the instruction of the
direct responsible and following the safety instructions;
• Carry out physical operational checks on the NDT equipment;
• Conduct maintenance of the equipment and replacement of mechanical parts, under the
supervision of the direct responsible;
• Fully adhere, at all times and irrespective of the work place, to Company Health, Safety,
Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies, procedures and requirements;
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager.
