Lab Assistant responsibilities will include:
- Team members typically spend their time collecting plant tissue and plant phenotypic data in the greenhouse.
- Maintaining plant pathogen cultures and conducting experiments in the lab.
- Willingness to work in a greenhouse environment is key, as well as comfort working in a lab setting.
- May work on different projects based on the needs.
- Microbiology, particularly sterile culture of fungi and bacteria.
- Wet lab duties including PCR/gel electrophoresis, bacterial transformation, and leaf infiltration.
- B.S in relevant field or soon to be completed Bachelors is required.
- Microbiology lab experience 1-3 years
- PCR
- Gel electrophoresis
- Experience with Sterile culture of fungi and/or bacteria.
