We are currently hiring a Mechanical Superintendent (Maintenance, Land Drilling Rigs & Associated Rig Equipment’s)
This position based in Kuwait onshore site-based drilling rigs.
 
Purpose
The Mechanical Superintendent/Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor (For Maintenance, Land Drilling Rig & Associated Rig Equipment’s) is responsible to manage the PMS System, oversee the technical integrity of a rig's hull, including tanks, and its equipment’s.
To Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs of Mechanical systems and equipment to ensure their longevity and minimize breakdowns.
 
Minimum requirements
 
Minimum 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry and the last 10+Years he should have worked in the capacity of Mechanical Superintendent/ Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor position in the drilling industry.
Should hold Mechanical Engineering degree
Should have experience in PMS System.
Familiar with class rules & regulations, as well as industry standards and practices.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and coach team members to achieve performance goals.
Demonstrated technical expertise in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, machinery, and facilities.
Sound understanding of maintenance techniques, tools, and principles.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Proficient in the use of maintenance management software, computer systems, and MS Office applications
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in maintenance processes and procedures
Ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of various Mechanical systems and equipment on the rig to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
Conducting regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs of Mechanical systems and equipment to ensure their longevity and minimize breakdowns.
Carrying out CAT III and CAT IV Overhauls for All Mechanical Equipment in Drilling Rigs depending on the new Rig Contract requirements and Schedule.
Coordinating with OEM representatives related to each Equipment Manufacturer for scheduling overhaul and recertification jobs.
Supporting All Operation Rigs in solving all Mechanical Issues to avoid Rig shutdown.
Supervise and ensure that rig maintenance is performed as per PMS (Preventive Maintenance System).
Review and approve work done on the rig and ensure accurate reporting.
Review and propose improvement for the PMS.
Carry out inspections and supervise modifications and larger overhauls of machinery.
Participates in and delegates regular inspections and audits to ensure the rig’s safety and conformance to Company policies.
Responsible to ensure timely and accurate reporting of all incidents or damage and carry out investigations where necessary, assign action items and follow for timely closure of same.
Ensure that rig equipment is maintained in compliance with the Company’s preventive maintenance program within area of responsibility and ensure that adequate levels of inventory for the drilling system equipment are maintained, accurately inventoried, and preserved.
Inspect drilling unit and ensure compliance with all regulatory body requirements.
Review all operational/technical bulletins and implement all directives as required and ensure all equipment is used as per manufacturer’s recommendations only.
Implementing API Q2 & ISO 9001 standards in the department and ensure compliance with same
 
ESSENTIAL WORK ACTIVITIES
Technical problems solving and provision of alternative solutions.
Technical support for identifying parts & providing alternative solutions.
Determine and prepare required manpower to carry out overhaul maintenance jobs depending on the maintenance job requirements and timeframe.
 
Provide guidance to the maintenance crew in analysing and arranging the procedures of maintenance jobs within planned timeframe.
Following Up with Rig Teams for Implementation of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Checklists for Different Rig Equipment.
Supervising All Mechanical Jobs in Maintenance workshop and Rig side.
Supervising All Mechanical Jobs in Commissioning Rigs to fulfil contract requirements.
Strictly adhere to safety protocols and procedures, contributing to a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues. Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately.
Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team, effectively communicating with colleagues, supervisors, and other personnel on the drilling site.
Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during drilling operations, contributing to increased efficiency and productivity. Attendant overhaul jobs for overhaul major equipment
Coordinate with OEM representatives related to each Equipment Manufacturer for scheduling overhaul and recertification jobs.
