🕒 Full-Time Contract | Monday–Friday | 08:00–16:30
An opportunity is available for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support the delivery of building services maintenance within a secure and technically demanding site environment in Salisbury.
This role would suit a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical maintenance experience across commercial or industrial facilities, particularly within HVAC and plumbing systems. The successful candidate will join an on-site maintenance team responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance activities across the facility.

An opportunity is available for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support the delivery of building services maintenance within a secure and technically demanding site environment in Salisbury.
This role would suit a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical maintenance experience across commercial or industrial facilities, particularly within HVAC and plumbing systems. The successful candidate will join an on-site maintenance team responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance activities across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out day-to-day mechanical building services maintenance across site facilities
- Perform reactive plumbing repairs including toilets, taps, pipework, and general water systems
- Support maintenance and fault-finding activities on HVAC and mechanical plant equipment
- Assist with AHU (Air Handling Unit) servicing and maintenance
- Conduct basic pipe repairs and support wider mechanical maintenance tasks
- Respond to reactive breakdowns and ensure issues are resolved efficiently
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and comply with site procedures
- Work closely with the wider facilities and engineering team to ensure minimal disruption to operations
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within mechanical maintenance or building services engineering
- Strong practical experience with plumbing maintenance and reactive repairs
- Previous experience within commercial, industrial, or facilities maintenance environments
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and associated mechanical plant
- Experience with AHUs, steam systems, or pipefitting would be highly advantageous
- Comfortable carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance duties
- Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Additional Information
- Full-time onsite role based in Salisbury
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30
- Initial contract duration with strong likelihood of long-term extension
- Due to site requirements, candidates must be eligible to pass security clearance and ideally already hold a clear DBS check
- Consistency on site is important, therefore reliability and long-term availability are highly valued
