Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Mechanical Engineer (Rotating and Static Equipment), based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities will include:
Integrity of rotating and static mechanical equipment and systems
Provide support to the Lead Mechanical Engineers requirements
Provide engineering support and guidance to offshore operation, modifications and contract and service personnel. Ability to troubleshoot and provide guidance on all static and mechanical equipment
Review engineering documentation on all modification proposals for rotating and static mechanical equipment
Assist in the development of BOD's, specifications and SOW
Prepare, implement and execute MOC (management of change) process
Contract responsible (company or technical representative) for dedicated mechanical contracts
Provide backup for other mechanical disciplines including maintenance engineers
Apply technical and professional knowledge and experience to provide specialist support
Develop procedures and job step plans relating to operations, design and maintenance
Day to day monitoring and trending of critical mechanical equipment using specialist software

Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering
Previous experience in both rotating and static equipment
Previous experience within an Operating company and/or major service company.
Current working knowledge of mechanical engineering, guidance and legislation, as it is applied by an E&P operator in the UK NS sector.
