We have an Expat opportunity for a Mechanical / Piping Engineer on a contract basis.
The position will be based in Algeria on a rotational basis (28x28).

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Chef Service Engineering, the principle role is responsible for mechanical engineering and support at the assigned site location including, but not limited to; static equipment, piping, HVAC and rotating equipment (compressors, pumps etc.).

Experience Required:
Solid experience in Mechanical and piping engineering design in the oil and gas industry with a reputable oil and gas company or consultancy / contractor.
Responsible for Mechanical and piping engineering including, but not limited to; static equipment, piping, HVAC and rotating equipment (compressors, pumps etc.).
Responsibilities also include working within the GB Field Change Proposal system and acting as Project Sponsor/Leader for Mechanical related projects at GB sites (as assigned by your line manager) to complete and close out site projects and modification work.
Understanding of design review, and familiar with all types of FEED and EPC deliverables, equipment, design and construction progress reviews.
Full life cycle experience is essential, right from design basis, FEED and EPC scope preparation and execution, design / safety / operations reviews.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
BSc / BEng Engineering Degree (or equivalent) in relevant engineering discipline.
At least 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry, a large proportion of which should have been in oil and gas processing projects involved in detailed engineering of rotating and static mechanical equipment.
Detailed understanding of engineering equipment and materials used in an Oil & Gas production facility and how it works within the process.
Strong technical, planning, communication and reporting skills.
Familiar with discipline related engineering software.
Working knowledge and understanding of relevant industry codes and standards.
Good interpersonal skills combined with effective oral and written English candidates preferably have effective oral and written French skills.
