Reporting to Jacket Engineering Coordinator, candidate to perform and coordinate the design, selection, and specification of mechanical equipment and rotating/static machinery for offshore wellhead platforms, ensuring compliance with project requirements, international standards, and operational reliability.

Design & Engineering
  • Review mechanical and machinery design deliverables for wellhead platform systems including:
    • Pumps (chemical injection, utility water)
    • Compressors (if applicable)
    • Diesel or gas-driven engines
    • Pressure vessels, tanks, and filters
    • HVAC and utility systems (cooling water, air systems)
  • Review technical datasheets, specifications, and material requisitions for mechanical packages
  • Review equipment sizing calculations, capacity checks, and interface alignment
  • Ensure design alignment with process, piping, structural, and instrumentation disciplines
Equipment Specification & Procurement Support
  • Review vendor quotations and perform technical bid evaluations (TBE)
  • Participate in vendor selection
  • Assist in preparation of purchase orders and vendor document requirement lists (VDRL)
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure vendor compliance with project specifications and codes (API, ASME)
Project Coordination & Reviews
  • Participate in HAZID/HAZOP, 3D model reviews, and constructability assessments
  • Interface with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of equipment packages
  • Address technical queries (TQs), deviations, and comments
Documentation & Reporting
  • Review and maintain mechanical discipline deliverables:
    • Equipment lists
    • Mechanical datasheets
    • General arrangement (GA) drawings
    • Installation drawings
  • Support preparation of engineering progress reports and discipline trackers
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment design and selection
  • Familiar with offshore equipment specifications and marine environment constraints
  • Proficient in tools such as Compress, PV Elite, AutoCAD, Caesar II
  • Knowledge of API, ASME, ISO standards
  • Effective coordination and reporting skills

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in the discipline
  • Excellent spoken and written English
