Material Coordinator
Reports To:Materials Lead

Experience Requirements
  • Extensive experience in materials control coordination within a construction site environment, with strong knowledge of material storage and preservation standards.
  • Hands-on experience in materials management activities, including:
    • Freight forwarding coordination
    • Material delivery, receipt recording, inspection, and Over, Short & Damage (OS&D) procedures
    • Material manifesting
    • Procurement Status Reports (PSR) and Expediting Status Reports (ESR)
    • Urgent (“hot-shot”) material ordering
    • Material certification processes
  • Experience in material reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with IPMS and APMS reporting systems.
  • Proven ability to effectively interface and collaborate with company and contractor materials and logistics teams.
  • Demonstrated proactive and innovative approaches to resolving material-related challenges.
  • Experience contributing to high-impact construction site teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Materials Lead in achieving contractual and project objectives.
  • Coordinate closely with Construction Engineers and Site Planners to ensure timely delivery of company-supplied materials and equipment in line with project requirements.
  • Monitor and track the on-time delivery of all company-provided materials.
  • Liaise daily with Procurement, Logistics, and Freight Forwarding teams to maintain full visibility of material status throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Verify contractor material receipts against company-issued Material Management Team (MMT) delivery records.
  • Maintain accurate data within the IPMS Material Control System.
  • Review and expedite resolution of contractor-generated Material Receiving Reports and Over, Short & Damage (OS&D) reports.
  • Coordinate with the Site Quality Team to ensure correct implementation of material storage and preservation specifications.
  • Monitor and verify material quantities and volumes during storage and internal site transportation.
  • Assist in overseeing surplus asset and material disposal activities.
  • Ensure timely closure of all materials-related action items.
  • Continuously demonstrate required core skills and professional conduct.
  • Maintain strong awareness and consistent behavior to safeguard company reputation and protect project commercial interests.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and support the achievement of project HSE objectives.
