Line Manager: Project Lead – Master Data Cleanup Project

We are currently seeking an experienced Master Data Coordinator to support a major Master Data Cleaning Project within the Contracts & Procurement Department.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate, complete and standardised Material Master data within SAP, acting as a central coordinator between technical teams, warehouse operations, third-party providers and the central Master Data Cell / WIPRO team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Master Data, Material Management, Stock Control or Procurement professional with strong SAP and Excel skills and a background in Oil & Gas or a comparable industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Lead – Master Data in the execution of the Material Master data cleaning programme.
  • Coordinate between third-party providers, technical teams, stock teams and the WIPRO central referential cell.
  • Process Material Request Forms (MRFs), checking for complete and accurate information before technical validation.
  • Prepare, check and submit MRFs to the Centralized Master Data Cell / WIPRO and follow through to implementation.
  • Clean and standardise manufacturer data, including manufacturer references and descriptions.
  • Verify and correct technical material data with Technical Duets and complete missing long descriptions.
  • Remove incorrect special characters and ensure compliance with Company data standards.
  • Review third-party deliverables from Todes, Terotech and Renotronic before data integration.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams for physical material inspection and verification.
  • Interface with MATCON, WIPRO and other central functions regarding master data validation.
  • Follow up outstanding technical clarifications and coordinate their resolution.
  • Participate in weekly Procurement Factory / Master Data progress meetings.
  • Provide daily progress updates to the Project Lead – Master Data.
  • Report progress against defined KPIs.
  • Follow up sale and scrap files following technical team decisions, ensuring correct approvals and Partner approvals are obtained.
  • Support the implementation of the Procurement Factory by providing accurate and reliable Material Master data.
  • Act as a key interface between local warehouse and technical teams, centralised functions and third-party providers.
  • Handle high volumes of data accurately and efficiently while challenging incomplete or inconsistent information.
  • Work in accordance with project priorities while responding quickly to data quality issues that may impact procurement, stock optimisation or operations.
  • Ensure accurate, complete and standardised Material Master data is delivered within agreed quality standards and timelines.
  • Ensure consistency between SAP / UNISOL records and physical materials held in the warehouse.
  • Maintain complete documentation and an audit trail for all data changes, including before/after corrections, photographs and inspection notes.
  • Keep the Project Lead – Master Data informed of progress, issues and potential risks.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in Master Data, Material Management, Stock Control or Procurement Support.
  • Experience within the Oil & Gas industry or a comparable industrial environment is preferred.
  • Strong interest in and understanding of technical components, materials and equipment.
  • Ability to understand technical descriptions and confidently discuss and challenge data with technical experts.
  • Highly organised and capable of managing large volumes of data accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail with a structured and quality-focused approach.
  • Excellent administrative and coordination skills.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Expert-level SAP experience, particularly within the Material Management module, including Material Masters and MRP.
  • Expert-level MS Excel skills.
  • Experience with Business Warehouse / Business Intelligence would be advantageous.
The role will involve working within a high-volume master data environment where accuracy, consistency and attention to detail are critical.
The successful candidate will need to balance structured project delivery with the ability to react quickly to data quality issues, technical queries and operational priorities.
The position will involve regular interaction with technical teams, warehouse personnel, procurement functions, third-party providers and centralised Master Data teams.
