Our client is the world leader in serving Science.

An existing opportunity has to come to market for Marketing Communications Manager to join a creative, forward thinking and expanding team based in Glasgow.

Day to day here's what you can expect;

  • Lead, manage and develop the MarCom team to deliver the highest quality service for all clients and stakeholders
  • Oversee the timely execution of all marketing communication activities such as: creative in region adaptation and deployment of global campaigns, development of creative campaigns in region, printing, translations, direct marketing and digital marketing, as well as other parts of the marketing service production process such as copywriting, editing, translation, providing creative insight and brand adherence, legal counsel, etc.)
  • Partner with Marketing Project Managers (MPM), Regional Market Development managers (RMDs), events team, CRM team and the digital marketing team to deliver on integrated campaign requirements and campaigns' Return On Investment (ROI) & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Drive campaign effectiveness by focusing on the quality of copywriting, messaging, visuals, brand alignment and a simple and appealing customer journey.
  • Develop and manage the advertising schedule for all local advertising in EMEA and coordinate with global advertising schedule.
  • In close collaboration with global teams, be the brand custodian, ensuring brand standards are met in all campaigns. Continuously train and update the Marketing and broader organizations on our clients brand guidelines and standards.
  • Manage and maintain the literature management system. This includes the complete maintenance and management of items available digitally and in physical stock, budget management and the administration of the internal clients' database.
  • Manage the editorial of the weekly internal communication to key stakeholders, ensuring the content is relevant and engaging and closely monitoring open and click through rates to measure success.
  • Working very closely with the Internal Communications team, ensure smooth communication of ongoing projects to the broader organization.
  • Manage and control MarCom budget.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • This role is for an experienced team manager, who works independently with solid and proven experience in Marketing Communications.
  • The MarCom manager needs to be a very creative person with ability to "think outside the box"
  • This role requires the ability to manage team skills, stakeholder's expectations and tight timelines to generate highest quality output
  • This person should ideally have a scientific background (not essential) or the ability to understand and communicate complex technical topics.


  • Basic salary up to c£50,000 + competitive benefits package
