We have a current opportunity for a Marine Systems Engineer on a contract basis. This is outside of IR35 and will be remote.
A Senior Marine System Engineer is required as part of the Naval and Marine Operation Team. They will be responsible for supporting activities worldwide on different projects and provide technical support within the naval and marine operation Department on design and follow-on of new and ongoing projects with floating LNG and FPSO facilities.
The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Studying and defining the best technical solutions for Marine Systems.
Preparation of technical specifications and functional requirements for the marine systems in FPSO and FLNG, during the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) and execution on FPSO/FLNG projects.
Knowledge of Classification Society Rules, SOLAS, MARPOL as applicable to FPSO and FLNG is required for this position. Experience of working on FEED and EPC LNG projects, Seagoing experience as second/chief engineer, experience in working with Oil Tankers/ LNG Carriers.
Experience as a Classification Society surveyor or Tanker/LNG Ship Vetting engineer would be a major advantage for this position.
Experience in active participation on project’s HAZID/HAZOP is required.
OPITO certified for offshore travel would be preferable to cover this position.
