Position: Marine Advisor
Position Info:
Work Location: Base Office (30 km away from the city centre)
Position Schedule: ASAP, 12 months (renewable)
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Higher education in Marine Engineering and Shipping Navigation
Certificate of Competency as Master on vessels over 3000GT
Work experience:
Unrestricted DPO Certificate
Minimum 5 years of experience as Port Captain for Anchor Handling or Offshore Operations
Knowledge of Offshore construction
Knowledge of Languages: English (fluent), Azerbaijani (fluent)
Other Skills/Certificates Required:
• Knowledge of ISM, ISPS and External Auditing;
• Experience in Marine Operations in Port and offshore;
• Experience in Vessel supply and maintenance;
• Knowledge of Windows Office;
• Knowledge of the functional requirements of the safety and security management systems and the best practices of the maritime codes.
Responsibilities:
• Organise, coordinate and control the execution of the maritime works, both performed by subcontractors or in direct hiring, ensuring the management of the interfaces with all construction disciplines and engineering departments, overseeing the availability of the construction materials and equipment and verifying that works are correctly carried out in accordance with project documentation and schedule;
• Ensure full compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures;
• Promote safe works practices and environmental protection, ensuring that safety standards are respected;
• Ensure the fulfillment of the project quality and contractual requirements;
• Set-up time schedule adhering to the time fra me allocated to the specific scope of work;
• Give all information regarding the progress of the work indicating the cause of deviations between the program and the work carried out and propose solutions and/or request instructions to overcome these problems. Control production parameters in terms of efficiency and productivity;
• Ensure proper discipline workflow, interfacing with all the project organization;
• Support the resolution of technical problems encountered during the execution of the works;
• Ensure the correct quantities accounts of the works, including updating manhours and cost estimates for scope of work changes;
• Ensure the supervision and monitoring of the works performed, subcontracted or in direct hiring. Coordinate human and technical resources, indicating any needs or surplus. Plan and monitor vendors or any specialists activities at site;
• Manage the technical and administrative documentation;
• Maintain high priority for HSE issues, Participate in Project HAZID’s-Risk Assessments. Participate in weekly safety management walkthrough or any other inspection include into Company program;
• Fully adhere, at all times and irrespective of the workplace, to Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies, procedures and requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Superior;
• Fully adhere, at all times and irrespective of the workplace, to Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies, procedures and requirements;
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager.
